‘The Beagle 5’ is a vatted malt that evolved from seven Lark and Tasmanian distillery casks, including Bourbon, Port, Sherry, Peated, and Muscat.
The Beagle range of Heartwood whiskies pay homage to Charles Darwin’s ship that was called ‘HMS Beagle’ and his voyage of discovery and the evolution of whisky. The Voyage of the Beagle is the title most commonly given to the book he wrote and published in 1839 bringing him considerable fame and respect.
Heartwood releases rarely make it to physical or virtual liquor-shop shelves before they sell out as they’ve become highly collectable by a cult following of enthusiasts who appreciate the whisky magic made by the brand.
